Peter Maximilian HM is a man of noble character. A dedicated
and focused master of language arts and sciences with an adventuresome spirit,
who always has in mind the benefit and ultimate success of each student. He is
fluent in multiple languages and thus very familiar with the process which
minimizes student frustration and efficiently leads to language fluency with
success and satisfaction. The ICLA Curriculum LAT-theorem sessions are
therefore customized to your current level and experience with the English
language and thus during my training i received a clear and concise
understanding of this process. My final exam
included a one-on-one teaching session with an ESOL-student from Chile, during
which she gained a new understanding of the language structure. Wow! A
thrilling experience for both of us... You will become a well-equipped,
properly trained and confident, certified language acquisition
teacher. Peter enabled me, a
native speaker, to see English from the perspective of an ESOL-student -- from
an analytical and academic paradigm. Thus, a genuine paradigm-shift has occurred
within my own life. This serendipitous consequence continues for me to be life
changing and revolutionary. I seem to be learning the English language anew and
my fascination with words has increased significantly. Also, he enhanced my
understanding of the importance of saying what we mean and meaning what we say.
Avoid ambiguity. Elucidate, don't obfuscate... I received a new awareness of
and appreciation for multiculturalism and the errors so common within our
speech. I felt comfortable, confident and
happy from day one. I know that the ICLA program will have a positive affect
upon my future, and the decision to complete this training was actually birthed
from an informal language teaching experience which i had twelve years ago. I
now better understand this proverb: "When the student is ready, the
teacher will appear." The ICLA faculty is
friendly, open, and professional. They speak English with amazing fluency; care
about the students; and have fun, vibrant, and dynamic classes. My practicum
included several hours of observation and participation, interacting with
wonderful ESOL-students from around the world. Wow! Awesome.....
The ICLA - LAT training
program utilizes a non-traditional approach to language acquisition, which i am
very comfortable with, and confident in, based partially upon my own
experience with a foreign language. The tuition is very reasonably priced. The
school is located in a beautiful and safe area.
An Eskimo proverb states: "Yesterday is ashes. Tomorrow is wood. Only
today does the fire burn brightly". The ashes of my yesterday now
seem further away and less troubling -- another unexpected consequence of
completing this training. This step has freed me to focus more upon the fires
of today, as i enter a new career and new phase of my life...
And so, the journey continues...
